Cherupayar Parippu Halwa | Moong Dal Halwa



Ingredients:-
  • Green Gram - 1 cup (Soaked)
  • Sugar – 1 ½ Cup
  • Milk – 1 Cup
  • Ghee – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Saffron – 3 to 4 strands
  • Dry Fruits as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Grind soaked green gram using a mixer grinder and make a fine paste
  • Heat ghee in a pan, transfer ground green gram paste into the pan and sauté well
  • Add sugar into the pan and continue sautéing
  • Pour milk into the pan and then saffron strand and mix it well
  • Add cardamom powder and dry fruits into the halwa and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency
  • Tasty Cherupayar Parippu Halwa / Moong Dal Halwa is ready to serve

Coconut Phirni | Diwali Special Phirni Sweet


Ingredients:-

  • Milk - 2 cup
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – 1/3 Cup
  • Rice Flour – 2 Teaspoon
  • Cardamom Powder – 4 Pinches
  • Ghee - 2 Teaspoon
  • Cashew and Pista for garnishing


Preparation:-
  • Blend grated coconut if require add milk
  • Heat ghee in a pan and sauté blended coconut
  • Pour milk into the pan, once it starts boiling add sugar
  • Add rice flour and cardamom powder and mix it well
  • Once it reaches the required consistency switch off the stove
  • Transfer the phirni in a vessel and decorate it with Cashew and Pista. Keep Phirni in a refrigerator
  • Tasty Coconut Phirni is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Beaten Rice / Aval – 1 Cup
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Grated Jaggery – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom – 5
  • Cashew nuts and Raisins as required
  • Ghee – 8 Tablespoon


Preparation:-
  • Heat 5 table spoon ghee in a pan and sauté cashew nuts and raisins and keep it aside
  • Same pan and ghee add beaten rice and sauté
  • Heat 3 table spoon ghee in a pan and sauté grated coconut
  • Grind fried beaten rice along with cardamom and keep it aside
  • Grind fried grated coconut and jaggery
  • Add fried cashew nuts and raisins into the bowl and mix everything well
  • Take a portion of beaten rice mixture and shape into laddu
  • Tasty beaten rice/Poha/Aval laddu is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Rava / Semolina – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – 1 Cup
  • Milk - 1 Cup
  • Water – 1 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – 3 Crushed
  • Cashew nuts and Raisins as required
  • Ghee as required


Preparation:-
  • Heat ghee in a pan and sauté cashew nuts and raisins and keep it aside
  • Heat required ghee in a pan and sauté rava/semolina until its colour changes
  • Heat water and milk in a pan and allow it to boil
  • Transfer fried rava/semolina into the pan and stir continuously
  • Add a little food colour of your choice (Optional) and then sugar into the pan and mix it well
  • Add powdered cardamom powder, cashew, raisins and a little ghee into the pan and mix it again
  • Tasty Rava / Semolina Kesari is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Boiled Banana - 3
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Sugar – 4 Table Spoon
  • Cardamom Powder – 5 Crushed
  • Beaten Egg – 2
  • Bread Crumbs as required
  • Oil as required

Preparation:-
  • Take a bowl and smash boiled banana
  • Add grated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder into the bowl and mix it well
  • Take handful of banana mixture and make small balls, then flatten the balls to make cutlet shape
  • Dip the flattened cutlet one by one into the beaten egg first and then coat the bread crumbs over the cutlet and keep it aside
  • Heat a pan and pour required oil to do a shallow fry. Fry cutlet on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  • Tasty Banana Cutlet is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Banana – 2
  • Semolina – ¾ Cup
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Sugar – 3 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom Powder-¼ Teaspoon
  • Sesame Seeds- ¼
  • Ghee – 2 Tablespoon
  • Oil – For frying


Preparation:-
  • Cut banana into small pieces
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry banana pieces
  • Add grated coconut, sugar and mix well
  • Smash the cooked banana
  • Add semolina into the banana mix and fry well
  • Add cardamom powder and sesame seeds and mix well
  • Mix the banana semolina mixture using your hand
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into balls
  • Deep fry the balls
  • Tasty Banana Rava balls are ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Milk – 500 ml
  • Banana – 2
  • Sago Rice – ½ Cup
  • Sugar – 1/3 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Salt a pinch
  • Ghee as required
  • Cashew nut and Raisins as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Take a pan a boil milk
  • Add Sago rice into the milk and cook well
  • Add cut banana and sugar into the milk and cook well
  • Add cardamom powder and salt into the pan and mix it well and then switch off the stove
  • Take a pan and heat 1 to 1 ½ table spoon ghee. Fry cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Transfer cashew and raisins into the Aval Paal Vaazhakka
  • Tasty authentic paal vazhakka is ready to serve

Ingredients (Filling):-
  • Banana (Nendran) – 1 Sliced
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Sugar – 2 Tablespoon


Ingredients:-
  • Wheat flour – 1 ½ Cup
  • Salt as required
  • Water as required


Preparation:-
  • Take a bowl and add sliced banana, grated coconut, cardamom powder, sugar into it and mix it well
  • Take wheat flour in a bowl, add salt and mix it properly. Add water little by little and knead it well
  • Now take one of the balls and place it on a flat surface dusted with wheat flour. Using a rolling pin, roll the ball to a circular shape
  • Keep one sheet and fill banana mix, keep another on top of it and press all the sides
  • Steam the sweet using a cooker for around 10 min
  • Tasty Gothambu Banana sweet is ready to serve

  • Beaten Rice – ½ Cup
  • Milk – ½ Litre
  • Banana (Nendran) - 1
  • Sugar – 1/3 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee as required
  • Cashew nut & Raisins as needed

 

Preparation:-
  • Cut banana into small pieces
  • Take a pan a boil milk
  • Add beaten rice into the milk and cook well
  • Add cut banana and sugar into the milk and cook well
  • Add cardamom powder into the pan and mix it well and then switch off the stove

  • Transfer cashew and raisins into the Aval Paal Vaazhakka. Close the pan for some time.

Ingredients:-
  • Sapodilla/Chickoo – 4 Sliced
  • Fresh Cream – 200 ml
  • Sugar Powder– ½ Cup

 

Preparation:-
  • Crush Sapodilla/Chickoo using a mixer
  • Take a bowl and beat fresh cream using a beater or hand
  • Add powdered sugar into the fresh cream and mix it well
  • Transfer crushed Sapodilla/Chickoo into the bowl and mix
  • Transfer the Ice Cream mixture into a container to set and keep it in the freezer for minimum 8 Hours
  • Cover the vessel using a cling film and then close the vessel
  • Keep ice cream into the freezer for 6 to 7 hours
  • Take out the ice cream after 6 to 7 hours and remove the cling film
  • Tasty Sapodilla/Chickoo ice cream is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Mango – 2 Medium Size
    • 1-      Cut into small pieces
    • 2-      Grind to make a thick paste
  • Milk – ½ Litre
  • Soaked Basmati rice - 2 Table spoon
  • (Grind it by adding 1 table spoon water)
  • Sugar – 5 Table Spoon
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 Tea Spoon
  • Cashew Nuts as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Condensed milk as required
  • Ghee as required

 
Preparation:-
  • Take a vessel, add ground basmati rice and ½ Cup water and cook
  • Pour milk into the vessel and boil. Make sure you stir continuously
  • Add sugar and stir well until it melts
  • Add ground mango into the milk and mix it well
  • Add cut mangoes into the milk stir well
  • Pour condensed milk, cardamom powder into the payasam and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency
  • Take a pan and heat 1 to 1 ½ table spoon ghee. Fry cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Switch off the stove and transfer cashew and raisins into the Payasam
  • Manga/Mango Payasam is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Semolina\Rava – 1 Cup
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Sugar - ½ Cup
  • Ghee – 1 ½ to 2 Tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - ½ Teaspoon
  • Cardamom Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  • Dry grapes as required
  • Milk as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Heat ghee in a pan and sauté dry grapes
  • Transfer semolina/Rava into the pan and sauté well
  • Sauté sesame seeds until it start breaking
  • Transfer grated coconut, sugar into the pan and sauté
  • Add cardamom powder and continue sautéing
  • Add semolina/Rava and fried dry grapes into pan and mix it well
  • Transfer the mixture into a flat vessel to make the laddu
  • Add milk before making Laddu shape and mix it well
  • Take a small portion of Semolina/Rava and make round shape
  • Tasty thari Unda/ Rava laddu is ready to serve

  • Watermelon – 500 Gram

  • Freeze sliced Watermelon for 2 to 3 hours
  • Take a mixer jar and add watermelon, fresh cream, and sugar and grind it well
  • Pour ground watermelon into a vessel
  • Cover the vessel using a cling film and then close the vessel
  • Keep ice cream into the freezer for 6 to 7 hours
  • Take out the ice cream after 6 to 7 hours and remove the cling film

Red Velvet Cake| Homemade Soft red velvet cake



Ingredients:-
  • Maida/All-purpose flour – 2 ½ Cup
  • Sugar Powder – 1 ½ Cup
  • Butter (Room Temperature) – 175 Gram
  • Cocoa Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Vanilla essence – 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Baking Powder - 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Baking Soda - ½ Teaspoon
  • Butter milk – 1 Cup
  • Egg - 2
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Red food colour as needed

 


Preparation:-
  • Take a bowl and mix Maida/All-purpose flour Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Cocoa powder, Salt and sieve the mix multiple times
  • Take another big bowl and add butter into it. Beat the butter till it become soft
  • Add powdered sugar little by little and beat continuously
  • Add Egg one by one into it and beat well 
  • Add vanilla essence and vegetable oil in to the bowl and beat the mixture
  • Add red colour according to the colour you would like to have
  • Add Maida/All-purpose flour, cocoa powder mix and butter milk alternatively little by little and mix it well using cut and fold method
  • Take a baking vessel and cover it with butter. Pour cake mixture till half of the vessel and tap it hard to remove the air bubbles
  • Preheat the oven 180 degree for 10 min
  • Keep the cake tin inside the over for 30 min at 180 Degree
  • To make whipping cream, take 100 ml milk and mix 50 gram whipping cream powder and beat well for 3 to 4 min
  • Take 100 gram cream cheese and add 1 table spoon powdered sugar and beat well at high speed for 3 min
  • Take out the cake after 30 min and keep it aside for cooling
  • Once it is cool down transfer the cake into a plate.
  • Decorate the cake as you like using whipping cream and cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients:-
  • Banana (Njali Poovan) - 6
  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – ¼ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder- 5
  • Baking Powder – 1 Pinch
  • Salt – 1 Pinch

 

Preparation:-
  • Take a mixer jar and grind banana and sugar without water and make a thick paste
  • Transfer the grinded paste into a big bowl
  • Add wheat flour little by little into the banana paste and mix it well
  • Add cardamom powder, baking soda and salt into the batter and mix it well
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry small portion of the dough for 2 to 3 minutes or until dark Brown
  • Tasty Wheat banana balls are ready to server

Ingredients:-
  • Pumpkin – ½ Kg
  • Sago Rice – ¼ Cup (Soaked in water for ½ an hour)
  • Milk – 1 Litre
  • Sugar – 1 Cup
  • Condensed Milk – 2 to 3 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom Powder -1 Teaspoon
  • Cinnamon Powder – 1 pinch
  • Cashew and raisins as needed
  • Ghee as needed

 

Preparation:-
  • Take a cooker and cook pumpkin by adding 1 cup water for two whistle
  • Take another vessel and boil sago rice by adding 1 cup water
  • Smash cooked pumpkin
  • Take a pan and add ghee. Fry Cashew nuts and Raisins and Keep it aside
  • Add more ghee into the pan. Add smashed pumpkin into the pan and sauté well
  • Add milk into the pan and mix it well with pumpkin
  • Add sugar and mix it well
  • Add cooked sago rice into the pan and stir well
  • Add cardamom powder, cinnamon powder into the payasam
  • Add condensed milk
  • Add fried cashew nuts and raisins into the payasam and then switch off the stove
  • Tasty Pumpkion/Sago rice (Mathanga Chouvari) payasam is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Almond (Soaked for 3 hours) – 35
  • Sago Rice – ¼ Cup (Soaked for 45 Min)
  • Milk – 1 Litre
  • Water – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – 1 Cup
  • Condensed Milk – 3.5 to 4 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom - 5
  • Cloves - 4
  • Salted butter – 1.5 to 2 tablespoon


Preparation:-
  • Boil milk by adding water into it.
  • Take a mixer jar and add almond, cardamom, 3 to 4 tablespoon sugar and crush it
  • Curtail the milk by boiling it for at least 10 min at medium flame
  • Add sago rice into the milk and boil until it became transparent
  • Add sugar into it and boil
  • Transfer the crushed almond, cardamom, sugar mix into the milk and mix it well
  • Add cloves into the payasam
  • Add condensed milk and mix it well
  • Stir continuously until it gets the required consistency
  • Add butter into the payasam and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency
  • Tasty Almod Sago rice payasam is ready to serve.
