Kerala Special Idichakka Pulincurry | Idichakka curry | Tender Jackfruit Pulingary


Ingredients:-

  • Raw Jackfruit – ½ portion 
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Turmeric Powder– 1 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 11/2 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- 3/4 Cup
  • Tamarind water- One lemon size in ¼ water
  • Curry leaves
  • Seasoning:-
  • Onion – 1
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Add green chilli, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt into Jackfruit and cook
  • Grind coconut 
  • Add ground coconut paste into cooked Jackfruit and boil. Add curry leaves
  • Add tamarind pulp and boil
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. 
  • Add onion and sauté, add curry leaves. 
  • Add spluttered mustard seeds into the curry
  • Tasty idichakka Pulincurry is ready to serve

Kerala Special Chakkakuru Parippu Curry| Chakkakkuru Curry| Jackfruit Seed Dal Curry


Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit seeds – 10 to 15
  • Dal – ¼ Cup Soaked
  • Turmeric Powder– 1 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Coconut grated- ½ Cup
  • Onion – 1
  • Dry chilli - 1
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Cut Jackfruit seeds into small pieces
  • Take a cooker and add Dal, Jackfruit seeds, green chilli, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Curry leaves and salt to taste and cook well
  • Grind grated coconut
  • Add ground coconut into the cooker and allow it to boil
  • Heat oil in a pan and Splutter mustard seeds. Add onion, dry chilli and curry leaves and sauté well
  • Transfer spluttered mustard seeds into the curry

Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit – ½ portion of a medium Jackfruit
  • Jackfruit seeds – 10 to 15
  • Shallot – 6
  • Garlic 3
  • Turmeric Powder– 1 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Tea spoon
  • Seasoning:-
  • Oil
  • Onion – 1
  • Garlic – 2 
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Cut Jackfruit and Jackfruit seeds into small pieces
  • Add shallot and garlic
  • Add crushed cumin seeds
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to taste into Jackfruit and Jackfruit seeds and cook well
  • Add grated coconut into cooked jackfruit and mix well
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds
  • Add onion and garlic and sauté
  • Add curry leaves and then transfer that it into the puzhukku
  • Tasty Chakka Puzhukku is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit – 1 ½ to 2 Cup
  • Jackfruit seeds – 10
  • Turmeric Powder– ½ Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Tea spoon
  • Turmeric Powder – A pinch
  • Seasoning:-
  • Onion – 1
  • Garlic – 2 or 3
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Dry chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt to taste, Jackfruit, Jackfruit seeds and cook well
  • Grind coconut with cumin seeds and turmeric powder
  • Add ground coconut paste into cooked Jackfruit and boil
  • Heat oil in a pan Splutter mustard seeds. Add onion, garlic into the pan and saute. Add red chilli and curry leaves. Transfer that it into the curry
  • Tasty Chakka Curry / Jackfruit Curry is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Raw Jack fruit – Small
  • Onion – 1
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Dal – ¼ Cup
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Sambar Masala
  • Tamarind- A lemon size 
  • Jaggery – A small piece
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Dry red chili – 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • For frying coconut
  • Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Shallot – 10
  • Garlic – 10
  • Curry Leaves
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Corns- ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 2 ½ Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon

Preparation:-

  • Pressure cook dal, raw jackfruit, onion, tomato, green chilli with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and water
  • Add oil into a pan and add coconut, shallot, curry leaves, pepper and fry
  • Once it start to change the colour add fenugreek and fry
  • Add cumin seeds 
  • Add coriander powder and switch off the stove and add asafoetida
  • Grind the fried coconut
  • Add it into cooked jack fruit
  • Once it start boiling add tamarind water and boil
  • Add sambar powder 
  • Add jaggery
  • Add curry leaves and coriander leaves
  • Splutter mustard and dry red chilli and add it into sambar
  • Tasty Idichakka Sambar is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit seeds – 30 
  • Drumstick – 2 small
  • Carrot – 1 Medium size
  • Tomato – 1 Medium
  • Onion – 1 Medium
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – ¾ Tablespoon
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Water as required 
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Shallot/Small Onion - 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry Leaves as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a cooker and cook jackfruit seeds
  • Add drumstick, carrot, tomato, onion, green chilli, curry leaves, salt to taste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, required water and cook well
  • Take a mixer grinder, add grated coconut and grind it well
  • Transfer the ground coconut into the curry, add required water for the curry and mix it well
  • Heat oil in a pan add splutter mustard seeds, add shallot into it and then transfer it into the curry
  • Tasty Chkkakkuru muringakkaya / Jackfruit seeds drumstick curry is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Dried jackfruit – 100 Gram
  • Jaggery – 200 Gram
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Cardamom – 5 Pods

 
Preparation:-
  • Grind dried jackfruit using a mixer jar and make fine powder
  • Add grated jaggery, cardamom, grated coconut into the jar and grind well
  • Transfer the mixture into a bowl and make small balls
  • Tasty Chakka/Jackfruit Unda is ready to serve

Idichakka Masala Curry | Tender Jackfruit masala Curry


Ingredients:-
  • Jack Fruit/Idichakka:
    • ½ portion of a medium size fruit
    • Cut it into small pieces
  • Turmeric Powder - ¾ tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 2 Tbsp
  • Pepper Powder – ½ Tsp
  • Garam Masala – ¾ Tsp
  • Green chilli – 3
  • Grated Coconut – ¾ cup
  • Garlic – 5 to 7 pods
  • Small Onion/Shallot – 6 Pods
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Dried red chilli - 4
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Mustard Seeds as needed
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste


Preparation:-
  • First let’s clean the Jackfruit, while cutting the Jack fruit make sure to apply oil on your hand and knife to avoid sticking the white paste
  • Remove the sharp portion of the jackfruit using a knife
  • Cut the thick portion in the middle of the Jackfruit
  • Cut the Jack fruit into medium sized pieces
  • Take a cooker and add, cut Jackfruit, Salt to taste, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Green Chilli and pour little water and cook for two whistle
  • Heat a Pan and pour oil into it. Add grated coconut into it and sauté well
  • Once the coconut become brown add small onion/shallot, ginger, garlic, dried red chilli, curry leaves and continue sautéing
  • Take a mixer jar and grind it to make a thick paste by pouring little water
  • Transfer the ground coconut mix into the cooked jackfruit and mix it well. Pour required water if you require more curry
  • Add curry leaves, pepper powder into the curry and let it boil
  • Add garam masala into it and then switch off the stove
  • Heat a pan and add oil into it. Splutter the mustard seeds and then transfer the spluttered mustard into the curry
  • Tasty Idichakka masala curry is ready to serve
