Banana Snacks | Evening Snack | Nendrapazham Snack | Aval NalumaniPalaharam


Ingredients:- 

  • Banana - 1
  • Aval – ½ Cup
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Jaggery – ¼ Cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – 2 Table Spoon
  • Salt

Preparation:-

  • Add ghee in a pan and heat
  • Add banana and stir
  • Add aval and grated coconut into it and mix well
  • Add jaggery and cardamom powder and fry the banana
  • Switch off the stove
  • Prepare a batter using wheat flour and salt
  • Make a balls from banana
  • Coat with batter
  • Fry it

 Ingredients:- 

  • Tapioca – 750 gm
  • Egg - 6
  • Onion – 3
  • Ginger – ½ inch
  • Garlic – 5 Pods
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut Oil


Preparation:-
  • Cook Tapioca by adding salt, Turmeric and water
  • Heat a pan add Coconut Oil
  • Add ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and sauté well
  • Add onion, salt and sauté well
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and sauté again
  • Add eggs and mix well
  • Add pepper powder and garam masala and mix
  • Add Tapioca and mix

Healthy Chilka Curry| Easy Moong dal recipe



Ingredients:- 

  • Moong Dal with skin – 1 Cup
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato -1
  • Coriander leaves
  • Garlic - 3 pods
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ¾ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala - ½ Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Fresh Cream - 1 Table Spoon
  • Oil
  • Salt As needed
  • Water


Preparation:-

  • Add water and cook Moong dal 
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds
  • Add onion and salt. Saute well
  • Add garlic and green chilli and saute
  • Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well
  • Add tomato and cook well
  • Add cooked moong dal into it and mix
  • Add water into it and cook
  • Add garam masala and coriander leaves and mix well
  • Add fresh cream if needed

This soft vellayappam/appam can be eaten with varieties of curries like Kadala, Cherupayar, Stew etc but famous curry to be used along with vellayappam is egg curry / mutta curry. Healthy Jowar Appam | Jowar Vellayappam | Easy and healthy breakfast | Jowar Flour Palappam


Ingredients:-

  • Jowar Flour – 2 Cup
  • Rice flour – 1 Cup
  • Aval – ½ Cup
  • Yeast - 1/ 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt As needed
  • Water


Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and add Jowar, rice flour, yeast, sugar, water and grind it well
  • Transfer the ground batter into a vessel and add salt on top of it. Keep it aside for 6 to 8 hours
  • After 8 hours take out the batter and stir it well
  • Heat a pan suitable to make appam (Appam Chatti) and pour a spoon full batter and spread it over. Close the vessel using lid for 2 to 3 min.
  • After 2 to 3 min take out the appam
  • Tasty Jowar appam / Vellayappam is ready to serve

Ingredients:- 

  • Egg - 3
  • Onion sliced – 1 Big
  • Tomato – 2
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Grated coconut – ¼ Cup
  • Cashew nut soaked - 10
  • Ginger – 1 Inch
  • Garlic– 3 Pods
  • Poppy seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Fennel Seeds – ¾ Teaspoon
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Cinnamon small piece
  • Cloves - 2
  • Bay leaf as needed
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ¾ Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Coriander leaves as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and add sliced tomato, grated coconut, soaked cashew nuts, ginger, garlic, poppy seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds, turmeric, and chilli powder and grind it well
  • Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, onion, salt to taste and sauté well
  • Add green chilli, curry leaves and sauté
  • Pour ground masala and mix it well
  • Pour required water and allow it to boil
  • Add boiled egg into the curry and then add curry leaves, coriander leaves 
  • Switch off the stove. Tasty Egg Kuruma is ready to serve

During Deepavali time we prepare many sweets at home. Kesari is one of the tasty sweet everyone likes to eat. Here I have prepared Kesari using Chavvari/ Sago / Sabudana. Normally Kesari is prepared using Rava/Semolina but this Kesari tastes totally different from the regular Kesari prepared using Rava/Semolina. This is one of the special Diwali sweet you can try at home and it takes hardly 10 min if you have soaked Sago/Sabudana/Chavvari.


Chavvari Kesari | Sabudana Rice Kesari Recipe | Diwali Sweet Kesari


Ingredients:-

  • Soaked Sago Rice – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – ¾ Cup
  • Cashew as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Saffron – 3 to 4 strings
  • Cardamom – 1 Teaspoon
  • Ghee as needed

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan, fry cashew and raisins and keep it aside
  • Pour more ghee into the pan, add sago rice and sauté well
  • Pour little water and close the pan using a lid and cook sago rice, Make sure to stir in between to avoid it burning
  • Add sugar and mix it well
  • Add saffron mixed with milk to get yellow colour. Use food colour if u would like to have dark colour 
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well
  • Add fried cashew and raisins and mix it well 
  • Tasty sago Kesari / Chavvari Kesari is ready to serve

Ragi Flour Halwa | Muthari Podi Halwa | Diwali Sweet Halwa


Ingredients:-

  • Ragi Flour – 1 Cup
  • Jaggery – 1 Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut – ¼ Cup
  • Milk Powder – ¼ Cup
  • Milk – 1 Cup
  • Cashew as needed
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – 4 Tablespoon

Preparation:-

  • Melt Jaggery in ¼ cup water
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add rag flour, desiccated coconut, milk powder and sauté well
  • Add ghee if required
  • Pour melted jaggery and mix it well
  • Pour milk and mix it again
  • Add cardamom powder, cashew and mix it well 
  • Once the mixture become thick switch off the stove
  • Take a vessel and apply ghee on top of it
  • Transfer halwa into another vessel and let the mixture come to room temperature
  • Keep it refrigerated for 30 min to 1 hour once it reached room temperature
  • After 30 to 1 hour take out the Halwa from refrigerator and cut it into desired shape 
  • Tasty Ragi Halwa is ready to serve

Gothambu Podi Laddu | Wheat Flour Laddu | Diwali Sweet Laddu


Ingredients:-

  • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
  • Fried peanut – 1 Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ½ Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – ½ Cup

Preparation:-

  • Grind fried peanut using mixer
  • Heat a pan and pour ghee into it. Add wheat flour and stir well
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well for 2 to 3 min
  • Add ground peanut and mix it well 
  • Once the mixture become thick switch off the stove.
  • Transfer it into another vessel and let the mixture come to room temperature.
  • Add desiccated coconut, sugar powder and mix it well
  • Take a handful of wheat flour mixture and make laddu shape. Roll it over a desiccated coconut to get nice look
  • Tasty wheat flour laddu / Gothambu Podi laddu is ready to serve

Milk Powder Chocolate Roll recipe | Paalpodi Sweets |Diwali Special Milk Powder Sweets


Ingredients:-

  • Milk Powder – 1 ½ Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ¼ Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut – ¾ Cup
  • Crushed Cashew Nuts as required
  • Milk Powder – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Cocoa Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Ghee as required
  • Salt a pinch

Preparation:-

  • Take a bowl and add Milk Powder, Desiccated Coconut, Sugar Powder, Cardamom Powder, salt a pinch and mix it well
  • Pour milk and make a dough similar to chappathi dough. Keep ¼ portion aside
  • Take ¼ portion which we kept aside and add cocoa powder, crushed cashew nuts and mix it well
  • Take a butter paper and apply ghee on top of it
  • Flatten the dough using a rolling pin
  • Take cocoa powder mixed dough and roll it. Keep it on top of the flattened dough
  • Roll the base dough over the cocoa roll 
  • Make the roll thin by roll it over. Cut it into half if it is too lengthy
  • Cut it into a size which can be covered using aluminum foil and then cover it using aluminum foil
  • Keep the roll inside the refrigerator for 30 min to 1 hour
  • Cut the sweets into desired length
  • Tasty Milk Powder roll sweet is ready to serve

  • Broccoli – 1 Head 
  • Potato – 2
  • Capsicum – ½ portion
  • Onion – 1 Medium size
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Dried chilli flakes – ½ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:-

  • Cut Broccoli into small pieces
  • Cut onion, potato, capsicum into small pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan and add potato and sauté well
  • Add broccoli, capsicum, onion salt to taste and mix it well
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli flakes, pepper powder and sauté well
  • Pour 2 table spoon water and then close the pan and cook well, open in between and stir well to avoid burning
  • Switch off the stove
  • Tasty Broccoli Potato stir fry is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Paneer – 100 Gram 
  • Capsicum – ½ Portion
  • Onion – 1 Medium
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Egg – 1
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi as needed
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:-

  • Cut Onion, Capsicum, Green chilli, Coriander leaves in to small pieces
  • Grate paneer cubes
  • Heat oil in a pan and add onion, capsicum, salt to taste and sauté well
  • Add turmeric powder, green chilli and continue sautéing 
  • Add grated paneer and mix it well
  • Close the pan and cook well, open in between and stir well to avoid burning
  • Add egg into the pan and mix it well
  • Add garam masala, pepper powder, kasuri methi, coriander leaves and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove
  • Tasty Paneer egg stir fry is ready to serve

Payasam is one of the mandatory dish in Sadya. Pradhaman can be prepared in many ways. Here I have prepared this special Sago rice pradhaman using cow milk and jaggery. This Chavvari Pradhaman tastes totally different from the regular pradhaman prepared using coconut milk extract. Since we are using cow milk, preparation time required to make this special Sabudana pradhaman is very less. Try to make this super tasty Chavvari Pradhaman the way I have explained here and let me know your feedback.


Chavvari Pradhaman | Sago Rice Payasam | Sabudana Payasam| Cow Milk Pradhaman


Ingredients:-

  • Chavvari / Sago Rice – 1 Cup
  • Milk – 1 Litre
  • Jaggery – 300 to 350 Gram
  • Condensed milk as needed
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Dry ginger powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cashew as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Ghee as needed

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan and sauté chavvari / Sago Rice until it become puffy
  • Pour 2 cup warm water initially and then pour required water when it became thick. Total 3 to 4 cup water is required 
  • Melt jaggery by adding very little water
  • Filter jaggery syrup and pour that into cooked sago rice and boil. Make sure to stir continuously
  • Once it reaches the required consistency, pour boiled milk and allow it to boil
  • Add condensed milk as required
  • Add cardamom powder dry ginger powder and then switch off the stove
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashew and raisins. Transfer the cashew and raisins into the payasam
  • Tasty Sago rice / Chavvari payasam with milk and jaggery is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Sago /Sabudana rice – 1 Cup
  • Potato boiled – 2
  • Groundnut – ½ Cup
  • Ginger – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Salt as required
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Crush groundnut using a mixer
  • Smash cooked potatoes
  • Take a vessel and add sago/sabudana rice, smashed potato, crushed groundnut, Cumin seeds, ginger, Green chilli, Coriander leaves, salt to taste and mix it well
  • Take handful of sago/sabudana mixture and shape it for making Vada 
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry both sides at low to medium flame
  • Tasty Sago/Sabudana vada is ready to serve

Air Fryer Pazham Pori Recipe

Ingredients:-

  • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
  • Banana - 3 
  • Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder
  • Turmeric Powder – A pinch
  • Sesame seeds as required
  • Water as required

Preparation:-

  • Take a bowl and add wheat flour, sugar, turmeric powder, cardamom powder
  • Pour required water and make a thick batter
  • Slice banana and dip each one into the batter
  • Take the pan outside from air fryer and apply oil on top of it avoid sticking the batter
  • Keep banana slices dipped in the batter into the pan side by side
  • Place the pan inside the fryer 
  • Keep the temperature at 180 degree and keep the timer for 10 min and switch on the fryer
  • After 5 min open the fryer and apply little oil on top of the banana and keep it back
  • Fryer will stop automatically when you take out the pan 
  • Keep the pan back into the slot and press On button to continue cooking
  • Tasty Pazham Pori without oil is ready to serve. It has taken total 8 min to cook

Air Fryer Chicken Fry Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chicken – ½ KG
  • Garlic Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Italian seasoning as required
  • Soya sauce – ½ Teaspoon
  • Lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • Take a bowl and add chicken, garlic powder, pepper powder, Italian seasoning, soya sauce, lemon juice and mix it well
  • Keep it refrigerated for 30 min
  • Place chicken pieces into the pan side by side and then place the pan inside the fryer 
  • Keep the temperature at 180 degree and keep the timer for 20 min and switch on the fryer
  • After 10 min open the fryer and apply little oil on top of the chicken and then flip it over and keep it back into the fryer 
  • Tasty oil free chicken fry is ready to serve

Kerala Special Palavaka Fish Curry | Malabar Style Fish Curry | Charu Curry

Ingredients:-

  • Fish - 350 gm
  • Mango – ½ portion 
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Shallot – 4
  • Tomato - 1
  • Turmeric Powder– 3/4 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 11/2 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- 1/2Cup
  • Curry leaves
  • Seasoning:-
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves


Preparation:-

  • Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric and chilli powder
  • Grind coconut 
  • Take a clay pot and add the fish which require more cooking time. Add shallot, green chilli, ginger, mango and tomato. Add ground coconut paste and water. Cook it
  • Once the fish is half cooked add remaining fish. If required add some water also
  • Add Curry leaves and cook

Kerala Special Idichakka Pulincurry | Idichakka curry | Tender Jackfruit Pulingary


Ingredients:-

  • Raw Jackfruit – ½ portion 
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Turmeric Powder– 1 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 11/2 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- 3/4 Cup
  • Tamarind water- One lemon size in ¼ water
  • Curry leaves
  • Seasoning:-
  • Onion – 1
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Add green chilli, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt into Jackfruit and cook
  • Grind coconut 
  • Add ground coconut paste into cooked Jackfruit and boil. Add curry leaves
  • Add tamarind pulp and boil
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. 
  • Add onion and sauté, add curry leaves. 
  • Add spluttered mustard seeds into the curry
  • Tasty idichakka Pulincurry is ready to serve
