During Deepavali time we prepare many sweets at home. Kesari is one of the tasty sweet everyone likes to eat. Here I have prepared Kesari using Chavvari/ Sago / Sabudana. Normally Kesari is prepared using Rava/Semolina but this Kesari tastes totally different from the regular Kesari prepared using Rava/Semolina. This is one of the special Diwali sweet you can try at home and it takes hardly 10 min if you have soaked Sago/Sabudana/Chavvari.


Chavvari Kesari | Sabudana Rice Kesari Recipe | Diwali Sweet Kesari


Ingredients:-

  • Soaked Sago Rice – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – ¾ Cup
  • Cashew as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Saffron – 3 to 4 strings
  • Cardamom – 1 Teaspoon
  • Ghee as needed

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan, fry cashew and raisins and keep it aside
  • Pour more ghee into the pan, add sago rice and sauté well
  • Pour little water and close the pan using a lid and cook sago rice, Make sure to stir in between to avoid it burning
  • Add sugar and mix it well
  • Add saffron mixed with milk to get yellow colour. Use food colour if u would like to have dark colour 
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well
  • Add fried cashew and raisins and mix it well 
  • Tasty sago Kesari / Chavvari Kesari is ready to serve

Pineapple Halwa at Home | Bakery Style Pineapple Halwa Recipe | Easy and perfect Pineapple Halwa

Ingredients:-

  • Pineapple – 1 Medium
    • Pineapple sliced – ¼ cup
    • Pineapple pulp
  • Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Corn Flour – 4 Tablespoon
  • Ghee- 4 Tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts and raisins as needed
  • Pineapple essence as required

Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and grind pineapple
  • Heat a pan, add pineapple and sugar into the pan and sauté well 
  • Transfer pineapple and sugar mixture into a vessel 
  • Add pineapple pulp and ghee into a pan and stir well 
  • Add sugar and stir well
  • Add corn flour and mix it well
  • Add pineapple sugar mixture and mix it again
  • Add balance ghee and mix again
  • Stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency 
  • Add cashew nuts and raisins a vessel and transfer the halwa into a vessel to cool down.
  • Tasty pineapple halwa is ready to serve

Pazham Halwa

Ingredients:-

  • Robusta banana – 4
  • Sugar – ¾ Cup
  • Wheat Flour – 1 Tablespoon
  • Ghee- 3 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom – 4
  • Cashew nuts as needed
  • Salt – A pinch

Kerala Banana Halwa

Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and add banana, cardamom and grind it well
  • Heat ghee in a pan, transfer ground banana mixture into the pan
  • Add wheat flour and stir well
  • After 2 min add sugar and salt into it and mix it well
  • Add 1 Table spoon ghee and mix again
  • After 4 to 5 min add cashew nuts and remaining ghee into it and mix well
  • Stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency 
  • Transfer halwa into a plate to cool down 
  • Tasty Robusta halwa is ready to serve

Cherupayar Parippu Halwa | Moong Dal Halwa



Ingredients:-
  • Green Gram - 1 cup (Soaked)
  • Sugar – 1 ½ Cup
  • Milk – 1 Cup
  • Ghee – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Saffron – 3 to 4 strands
  • Dry Fruits as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Grind soaked green gram using a mixer grinder and make a fine paste
  • Heat ghee in a pan, transfer ground green gram paste into the pan and sauté well
  • Add sugar into the pan and continue sautéing
  • Pour milk into the pan and then saffron strand and mix it well
  • Add cardamom powder and dry fruits into the halwa and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency
  • Tasty Cherupayar Parippu Halwa / Moong Dal Halwa is ready to serve
