Thattukada style Kappa Mutta | Kappa Mutta Biriyani| Kappayum muttayum



 Ingredients:- 

  • Tapioca – 750 gm
  • Egg - 6
  • Onion – 3
  • Ginger – ½ inch
  • Garlic – 5 Pods
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut Oil


Preparation:-
  • Cook Tapioca by adding salt, Turmeric and water
  • Heat a pan add Coconut Oil
  • Add ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and sauté well
  • Add onion, salt and sauté well
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and sauté again
  • Add eggs and mix well
  • Add pepper powder and garam masala and mix
  • Add Tapioca and mix

Special Egg Kuruma Curry Kerala Style | Special Mutta Curry | Easy egg Kuruma recipe


Ingredients:- 

  • Egg - 3
  • Onion sliced – 1 Big
  • Tomato – 2
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Grated coconut – ¼ Cup
  • Cashew nut soaked - 10
  • Ginger – 1 Inch
  • Garlic– 3 Pods
  • Poppy seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Fennel Seeds – ¾ Teaspoon
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Cinnamon small piece
  • Cloves - 2
  • Bay leaf as needed
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ¾ Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Coriander leaves as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and add sliced tomato, grated coconut, soaked cashew nuts, ginger, garlic, poppy seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds, turmeric, and chilli powder and grind it well
  • Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, onion, salt to taste and sauté well
  • Add green chilli, curry leaves and sauté
  • Pour ground masala and mix it well
  • Pour required water and allow it to boil
  • Add boiled egg into the curry and then add curry leaves, coriander leaves 
  • Switch off the stove. Tasty Egg Kuruma is ready to serve

Mixed small fishes are called palavaka or charu. We can prepare tasty fish curry using this palavaka or charu fish. Preparation of Malabar special Charu curry is slightly different from other fish. Here I am showing you how to cook mixed small fish or Palavaka fish or Charu. After watching the video please share the feedback.


Kerala Special Palavaka Fish Curry | Malabar Style Fish Curry | Charu Curry

Ingredients:-

  • Fish - 350 gm
  • Mango – ½ portion 
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Shallot – 4
  • Tomato - 1
  • Turmeric Powder– 3/4 Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 11/2 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- 1/2Cup
  • Curry leaves
  • Seasoning:-
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves


Preparation:-

  • Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric and chilli powder
  • Grind coconut 
  • Take a clay pot and add the fish which require more cooking time. Add shallot, green chilli, ginger, mango and tomato. Add ground coconut paste and water. Cook it
  • Once the fish is half cooked add remaining fish. If required add some water also
  • Add Curry leaves and cook
  • Heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds .Add onion and saute. Add curry leaves. Add it into the curry

Special Avoli Curry | Special Black Pomfret Curry | Thenga Aracha Kudam Puliyitta Avoli Curry

Ingredients:- 

  • Black Pomfret - 500 gm
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Tomato – 1 Medium
  • Ginger sliced – 1 Inch
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Garlic Crushed – 15 pods
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Pot Tamarind (Soaked in water) - 2 
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Shallot – 1 Big
  • Dried red chilli soaked in hot water- 5
  • Whole Coriander soaked in hot water – 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Salto to taste

Seasoning

  • Mustard seeds as needed
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Shallot – 2 
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a clay pot and pour 1 cup water and add salt to taste
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, sliced tomato, green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and mix it well
  • Pour pot tamarind extract along with the tamarind and allow it to boil
  • Take a mixer jar and grind grated coconut, soaked dried red chilli and whole coriander
  • Transfer black pomfret into the clay pot and cook for a min by closing the clay pot
  • Pour ground coconut mixture along with required water and cook well by closing the clay pot for 5 min
  • Heat oil in a pan splutter mustard seeds, add fenugreek, shallot and coriander leaves. 
  • Transfer spluttered mustards into the curry
  • Tasty Black Pomfret curry is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Chicken – 500 gm
  • Chicken Masala – 50 gm
  • Shallot – 250 gm
  • Coconut Pieces – ½ Coconut
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil – 250 ml
  • Salt


Preparation:-
  • Marinate chicken with chicken masala, salt shallot and curry leaves and keep it aside 
  • Add oil in a vessel and put coconut pieces and fry till it become light brown in colour
  • Add marinated chicken and mix and cover
  • Stir frequently
  • Once the chicken cooked switch off the stove

Chicken Curry can be prepared in different style. In Kerala one of the variety of chicken curry you may find in restaurants are “Mulakitta Chicken Curry”. This is prepared without sautéing Onion or any other ingredients. Also no chicken Masala is used to prepare this bachelors special chicken curry.  I have prepared this special Mulakitta chicken Curry in clay pot and it adds additional taste to your chicken curry. You will find a huge difference in the taste due to this special preparation. Please try from your side and provide the feedback.

Chicken Curry without Chicken Masala | Chicken curry in Clay Pot | Bachelors Chicken Curry

Ingredients:-

  • Chicken – 500 Gram
  • Onion - 1 Medium sliced
  • Tomato – 1 Medium Sliced
  • Green Chilli – 3 Small
  • Garlic – 10 Pods 
  • Ginger – 1 Inch
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice – ½ portion squeezed
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut Oil – 1 Tablespoon
  • Water – ½ Cup
  • Coriander Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Garam masala – 1 Teaspoon

Preparation:-

  • Take a clay pot and add chicken, onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, green chilli, curry leaves
  • Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, lemon juice, coconut oil and mix it well
  • Keep it aside for 30 minutes
  • Pour ½ cup water and mix it well
  • Once it starts boiling close the pot and keep the flame at medium
  • Add coriander powder, garam masala, curry leaves and cook well
  • Once it reaches the required gravy switch off the stove and pour a little raw coconut oil and close the pot
  • Tasty mulakitta chicken curry / Bachelors Chicken Curry is ready to serve.

Chemmeen is one of the favorite fish for all fish lovers and the curry prepared using chemmeen along with parippu is enough to eat a plate full of rice. Chemmeen Parippu Curry | Prawns Dal Curry | Malabar Style Chemmen Parippu Curry

Chemeen Parippu Curry

Ingredients:-

  • Prawns – 250 Gram
  • Drumstick - 1
  • Dal (soaked) - ¼ Cup
  • Onion – 1 Small
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Ginger – ¼ Inch Crushed
  • Garlic – 5 Pods Crushed
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – ¾ Tablespoon
  • Tomato – 1 Medium Size
  • Tamarind – Gooseberry size soaked in 3/4 Cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Water as required 
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Fenugreek – ¼ teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves as needed

Malabar Style Chemmeen Parippu Curry

Preparation:-

  • Take a cooker and cook soaked dal
  • Heat oil in a mud pot and sauté chopped onion by adding little salt
  • Add green chilli, ginger garlic and sauté well
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and continue sautéing 
  • Add tomato and curry leaves and sauté
  • Add drumstick and cleaned prawns, ¾ Cup tamarind water and cook well by closing the pot
  •  Smash cooked dal and add it in the curry and mix it well
  • Take a mixer grinder, add coconut, a pinch of turmeric powder, cumin seeds and grind it well
  • Transfer the ground coconut into the curry, add required water for the curry and mix it well
  • Heat oil in a pan add splutter mustard seeds, add fenugreek, curry leaves into it and then transfer it into curry
  • Tasty Chemmeen parippu curry is ready to serve

Chicken Pakoda

Ingredients:-

  • Chicken – 7 Pieces
  • Onion -1
  • Ginger – 1 Inch
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Tsp
  • Gram flour – 6 Table Spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

 Chicken Vada

 Preparation:-

  • Take a cooker add chicken, salt to taste, ¼ teaspoon pepper powder and cook the chicken
  • Cut onion, ginger
  • Shred the cooked chicken
  • Take a bowl and add shredded chicken, onion, ginger, curry leaves, salt to taste, gram flour, Turmeric Powder, Chilli powder, cumin seeds (If required add water ) and mix it well
  • Add gram flour little by little and water as required to get the required consistency to make vada shape
  • Shape the mixture to make chicken vada
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the vada both sides
  • Tasty chicken vada is ready to serve.

Ingredients:-
  • Egg – 2
  • Tomato – 2
  • Mustard Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Garam masala – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry Leaves as needed
  • Water as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Heat oil in a pan add splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, salt as needed into the pan and sauté well
  • Add ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chilli powder and continue sautéing
  • Add required water, curry leaves, garam masala into the pan and allow it to boil
  • Break two eggs and add it on top of the curry

Special Chicken Leg Fry | Secret Masala Chicken Leg Fry



Ingredients:-
  • Chicken Leg – 4 Pieces
  • Garlic – 15 Pods
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Curry Leaves as required
  • Egg – 1
  • Chilli Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Corn Flour – 1 Tablespoon
  • Curd – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required


Preparation:-
  • Take a mixer Jar and add egg, corn flour, salt to taste, Turmeric Powder, Chilli powder, Kashmiri Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Ginger, Curry Leaves, Garlic, Curd and grind it well to make a thick paste
  • Apply this paste into leg pieces and keep it aside or refrigerator for 30 min
  • Heat oil a pan and deep fry chicken legs
  • Transfer the chicken leg pieces into a serving dish
