Ingredients:- 

  • Banana - 1
  • Rava –1/4 Cup
  • Sugar – ¼ Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – 2 Table Spoon



Preparation:-
  • Cut the banana
  • Add ghee into a pan and fry the banana
  • Add rava and mix well
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix till sugar melt
  • Once the mixture cooled down shape it

      Besan Rava balls is a special snack which can be prepared easily at home and one of the favourite snack all kids will love to eat. This special Besan Rava mixed snack gives you a different tastes. This is one of the special evening snacks which can be prepared even during Iftar/Nombuthura time. Everyone likes this special Rava Balls mixed with Besan flour as it is crispy outside and soft inside. This is a perfect combination for a hot tea in the evening. Kids will love to eat this due to the special taste of this gram flour mixed Rava Balls. Please follow the way how I have prepared this special Besan Rava Balls and let me know your feedback.

      Besan rava Balls | Kadalamavu Rava Snack| Iftar/Nombuthura Special gram flour Rava Balls


      Ingredients:-

      • Besan flour / Gram flour – ½ Cup
      • Semolina / Rava – ½ Cup
      • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
      • Chilli flakes – 1 Tablespoon
      • Chat Masala – ¾ Teaspoon
      • Salt to taste
      • Oil as needed

      Preparation:-

      • Take a pan add, besan flour, semolina, turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix it well
      • Pour required water (1 Cup) and mix it again
      • Add chilli flakes and chat masala
      • Heat the mixture, make sure to stir continuously
      • Make a thick dough and switch off the stove. Keep it aside for cooling
      • Mix it well and then make a small balls or desired shape
      • Heat oil in a pan and fry Besan rava balls at low to medium flame
      • Tasty Besan Rava naalumani Palaharam / Iftar Special Kadalamavu rava snack is ready to serve

      Poori is one of the famous breakfast across India. This Special Rava Potato Poori is crispy and tastes totally different from the regular Poori prepared using wheat flour. This variety poori is going to be a change from your regular breakfast and everyone likes to eat this special Rava Urulakizhangu poori.       Rava Urulakizhangu Poori | Rava Potato Poori| Rava Aloo Poori | Special Breakfast


      Ingredients:-

      • Rava / Semolina – ¾ Cup
      • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
      • Potatoes Boiled – 2
      • Coriander leaves – ¼ Cup
      • Dried red chilli – 1 Teaspoon
      • Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
      • Chat Masala – ½ Teaspoon
      • Salt as required
      • Oil as required

      Preparation:-

      • Grate potato
      • Take a vessel and add rava / Semolina and pour hot water. Keep it aside for 10 min
      • Add grated potato, salt to taste, dried red chilli, cumin seeds, chat masala, coriander leaves and mix it well
      • Add wheat flour little by little and make a thick dough.
      • Apply little oil on top of the dough and keep it aside for 10 min
      • After 10 min mix the dough well. If required add little more wheat flour to make proper poori dough
      • Make small balls and flatten the dough by using rolling pin or a presser
      • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry both sides at low to medium flame
      • Tasty Rava Potato Poori / Semolina Urulakizhangu Poori is ready to serve

      Rava dosa is easy to make and no fermentation required. To make perfect crispy Rava Dosa, the batter has to be thin or watery. You can make the Rava Dosa plain or you may add onion on top of it. Only few ingredients are required for making Rava Dosa. It is always better to eat Dosa as soon as it is prepared otherwise Dosa may not be cryspy. Hot Rava Dosa and a coconut chutney is a perfect combination for breakfast. Please prepare this Crispy Rava Dosa as I showed in the video and let me know your feedback.

      Ingredients:-

      • Rava/Semolina – 2 Cup
      • Rice flour- 3 Tablespoon
      • Curd – ½ Cup
      • Water – 3 Cup
      • Onion – 1 Medium
      • Green Chilli – 1
      • Curry leaves as needed
      • Ghee as needed
      • Salt to taste

      Preparation:-

      • Take a mixer jar and add rava/Semolina, Rice Four, Curd, required water and grind it well
      • Transfer the ground batter into a vessel and add salt into it. Keep it aside for half an hours
      • After half an hour take out the batter and add chopped onion, green chilli, curry leaves and stir it well
      • Heat a pan and pour a spoon full batter and spread it over. Close the vessel using a lid for 2 to 3 min.
      • Add ghee on top of Dosa and flip the dosa 
      • Tasty rava dosa is ready to serve

      Rava Appam | Rava Naalumani Palaharam | Soft Rava Neyyappam | Rava Panji Appam

      Ingredients:-

      • Semolina/Rava – ½ Cup
      • All-Purpose flour /maida– 1 Cup
      • Grated Jaggery – ½ Cup
      • Cardamom– 4 Pods Crushed
      • Salt a pinch
      • Water as needed
      • Oil as needed to fry

      Preparation:-

      • Heat 1 cup water in a pan and melt jaggery
      • Take a bowl and add App-purpose flour/Maida, Rava, a pinch of salt, cardamom Powder and mix it well
      • Pour Jaggery syrup into the bowl and mix it well
      • Keep it aside for 30 min
      • After 30 min open the vessel and mix it well
      • Heat oil in a pan and pour a spoon full of batter and deep fry both sides 
      • Tasty Rava appam / Rava Naalumani Palaharam is ready to serve.

      Vellayappam/appam is one of the favorite breakfast in Kerala. If you visit any restaurants in Kerala you will find Vellayappam/appam as one of the breakfast item. Every home in a week on rotation vellayappam/appam is prepared as one day’s breakfast. This soft vellayappam/appam can be eaten with verities of curries like Kadala, Cherupayar, stew etc but famous curry to be used along with vellayappam is egg curry / mutta curry. Vellayappam can be prepared using rice, ragi, wheat etc. Here I am showing how to prepare vellayappam/appam using Rava or Semolina. Please watch the video and let us know your feedback as comment.



      Rava Vellayappam | Rava/Semolina Appam | Rava Palappam


      Ingredients:-

      • Soaked Rava/Semolina – 1 ½ Cup
      • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
      • Yeast – ½ Teaspoon
      • Sugar – 1 tablespoon
      • Water – 1 Cup
      • Salt to taste

      Preparation:-

      • Take a mixer jar and add soaked rava/Semolina, grated coconut, yeast, sugar, water and grind it well
      • Transfer the ground batter into a vessel and add salt on top of it. Keep it aside for 6 to 8 hours
      • After 8 hours take out the batter and stir it well
      • Heat a pan suitable to make appam (Appam Chatti) and pour a spoon full batter and spread it over. Close the vessel using lid for 2 to 3 min.
      • After 2 to 3 min take out the appam
      • Tasty Rava / Semolina Vellayappam is ready to serve

      Ingredients:-
      • Semolina – 1 Cup
      • Egg – 1
      • Sugar – ¼ Cup
      • Milk – 2 Tablespoon
      • Cardamom Powder – 5 Pods Crushed
      • Oil as required


      Preparation:-
      • Beat egg by adding sugar, milk and cardamom powder
      • Add semolina little by little and mix it well using your hand
      • Make small balls using your hand
      • Heat oil in a pan and fry each rava balls
      • Tasty Rava Egg evening snack is ready to serve
