Special Avoli Curry | Special Black Pomfret Curry | Thenga Aracha Kudam Puliyitta Avoli Curry

Ingredients:- 

  • Black Pomfret - 500 gm
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Tomato – 1 Medium
  • Ginger sliced – 1 Inch
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Garlic Crushed – 15 pods
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Pot Tamarind (Soaked in water) - 2 
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Shallot – 1 Big
  • Dried red chilli soaked in hot water- 5
  • Whole Coriander soaked in hot water – 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Salto to taste

Seasoning

  • Mustard seeds as needed
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Shallot – 2 
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a clay pot and pour 1 cup water and add salt to taste
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, sliced tomato, green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and mix it well
  • Pour pot tamarind extract along with the tamarind and allow it to boil
  • Take a mixer jar and grind grated coconut, soaked dried red chilli and whole coriander
  • Transfer black pomfret into the clay pot and cook for a min by closing the clay pot
  • Pour ground coconut mixture along with required water and cook well by closing the clay pot for 5 min
  • Heat oil in a pan splutter mustard seeds, add fenugreek, shallot and coriander leaves. 
  • Transfer spluttered mustards into the curry
  • Tasty Black Pomfret curry is ready to serve

How to prepare Kadalapodi Laddu | Gram Flour Laddu | Besan Laddu

Ingredients:-

  • Gram Flour / Besan Flour – 1 Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ½ Cup
  • Milk Powder (Optional) – 2 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cashew Nuts as required
  • Ghee – ¼ Cup

Preparation:-

  • Heat a pan and fry cashew nuts
  • Add gram flour / besan and sauté well 
  • Add sugar powder and mix it well
  • Add milk powder and cardamom powder
  • Switch off the stove and mix it well. Keep it aside to cool down the mixture
  • Transfer the laddu mixture into an another bowl and mix it well using your hand to remove the lumps
  • Take a handful of gram flour / Besan flour mixture and make laddu shape
  • Tasty gram flour laddu / besan flour laddu is ready to serve

Kerala Special Chakka Curry | Chakkakkuru curry | Malabar Special Jackfruit Curry


Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit – 1 ½ to 2 Cup
  • Jackfruit seeds – 10
  • Turmeric Powder– ½ Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Tea spoon
  • Turmeric Powder – A pinch
  • Seasoning:-
  • Onion – 1
  • Garlic – 2 or 3
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Dry chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt to taste, Jackfruit, Jackfruit seeds and cook well
  • Grind coconut with cumin seeds and turmeric powder
  • Add ground coconut paste into cooked Jackfruit and boil
  • Heat oil in a pan Splutter mustard seeds. Add onion, garlic into the pan and saute. Add red chilli and curry leaves. Transfer that it into the curry
  • Tasty Chakka Curry / Jackfruit Curry is ready to serve

  • Ginger – ½ inch

  • Cumin seeds – ¼ Tea Spoon
  • Curd – 250 ml
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt
  • Seasoning:-
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Dry chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Grind coconut, green chilli, ginger, tamarind, jaggery, dry red chilli, cumin seeds, curry leaves, salt and water
  • Mix ground paste with curd
  • Heat oil in a pan and  Splutter mustard seeds add red chilli and curry leaves
  • Add it into the butter milk mixture
  • Tasty Moru Kachiyathu / Thenga Moru Curry is ready to serve

  • Cucumber – ½ portion of one’
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Grated Coconut – ¼ Cup
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Shallot- 4 or 5
  • Garlic – 2 pods
  • Oil
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Salt

Preparation:-

  • Cut cucumber 
  • Take a pan. Add oil .sputter mustards
  • Add cucumber
  • Add salt, Turmeric powder and curry leaves
  • Close the pan and cook it for 1 min
  • Grind coconut, green chilli, shallot and garlic
  • Open the lid and put crushes coconut into it and mix well
  • Again close with a lid and cook for few minutes
  • Tasty and easy Vellarikka thoran / Cocumber Stir Fry is ready to serve

  • Broken wheat – ½ cup soaked in water
  • Onion – 1 
  • Green chilli – 1
  • Ginger – ½ inch
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Chilli powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – A pinch
  • Salt

Preparation:-

  • Grind soaked broken wheat 
  • Add chopped onion, green chilli, ginger,curry leaves, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, asafoetida, wheat flour and mix well
  • Shape the mixture into vada
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry both side
  • Tasty Nurukku Gothambu Vada / Broken Wheat Vada is ready to serve

  • Raw Jack fruit – Small
  • Onion – 1
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Dal – ¼ Cup
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Sambar Masala
  • Tamarind- A lemon size 
  • Jaggery – A small piece
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Dry red chili – 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • For frying coconut
  • Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Shallot – 10
  • Garlic – 10
  • Curry Leaves
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Corns- ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 2 ½ Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon

Preparation:-

  • Pressure cook dal, raw jackfruit, onion, tomato, green chilli with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and water
  • Add oil into a pan and add coconut, shallot, curry leaves, pepper and fry
  • Once it start to change the colour add fenugreek and fry
  • Add cumin seeds 
  • Add coriander powder and switch off the stove and add asafoetida
  • Grind the fried coconut
  • Add it into cooked jack fruit
  • Once it start boiling add tamarind water and boil
  • Add sambar powder 
  • Add jaggery
  • Add curry leaves and coriander leaves
  • Splutter mustard and dry red chilli and add it into sambar
  • Tasty Idichakka Sambar is ready to serve

  • Banana – 4
  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Grated Coconut – 3/4 Cup
  • Jaggery – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom - 6
  • Salt

Preparation:-

  • Steam and cook banana
  • Grind the cooked banana once it is cooled
  • Mix grated coconut and jaggery
  • Add wheat flour, mashed banana, salt, cardamom and make a dough
  • Take banana leaf spread the dough 
  • Place the filling on one side and fold the other half on top of it
  • Place it in a steamer or Idli Cooker
  • Steam for about 10 to 15 min
  • Tasty Nendrapazham / Ethapazham gothambu Elayada is ready to serve

Ingredients:- 

  • Bitter gourd– 1
  • Raw Mango- 1
  • Tomato – ½ Portion
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Curry Leaves as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Cut and clean mango and bitter gourd 
  • Cook bitter gourd and raw mango by adding salt turmeric chilli powder and curry leaves
  • Grind coconut and make a thick paste
  • Once it is cooked add coconut ground paste 
  • Splutter mustard seeds. If you want you can add dry red chilli also
  • Transfer spluttered mustard into the curry
  • Tasty Pavakka Manga Curry / Bitter Gourd Mango Curry is ready to serve

Kesari is one of the very famous sweet across India. Authentic Kesari is prepared using Rava. Here I am showing you how to prepare Kesari using wheat Flour. You may find similar taste of Kesary prepared Using Rava when it is prepared using wheat flour.  Kerai preparation using gothambu podi is very simple and quick. Try to prepare wheat flour/Gothambu podi Kesari using the method I have shown in this video and share the feedback.


Wheat flour Kesari | Wheat Flour Sweet | Gothambu Podi Kesari | Gothambu Podi Halwa | Wheat flour sweet | Diwali Sweet

 

Ingredients:-

  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Jaggery - ¾ Cup
  • Cashew nuts
  • Raisins
  • Cardamom – 5
  • Ghee – 4 Table Spoon
  • Water – 1 1/2

Preparation:-

  • Add 2 Tablespoon ghee into a pan and fry wheat flour till it become light brown in color
  • Add 1 Tablespoon ghee and fry cashew and raisins and keep it aside
  • Melt jaggery by adding water
  • Add wheat flour into melted jaggery and mix it in low flame until it become thick in consistency
  • Add cardamom powder, cashew and raisins into it. If needed you can add a tablespoon ghee also

Ingredients:- 

  • Shark- 300 gm
  • Turmeric – 1 Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Tomato – 1 big
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Green Chilli – 3
  • Curry leaves
  • Tamarind water from 1 lemon size tamarind
  • Coconut – 1 ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Oil

Preparation:-

  • Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder
  • Cut and add Tomato, ginger, green chilli and curry leaves into the fish
  • Add Tamarind pulp and mix well
  • Add required amount of water and cook
  • Grind coconut and cumin seeds
  • Once the fish is cooked add coconut mixture into the curry and allow to boil
  • Splutter mustard seeds and add into curry

  • Tender Coconut Pulp- 1 Cup
  • Tender coconut water – 1 Cup
  • Boiled and Cooled milk – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – 3 Table Spoon
  • Cardamom - 3

Preparation:-

  • To a mixer add tender coconut pulp, sugar cardamom and tender coconut water and blend it well
  • Add Milk to it and blend it again
  • Tender coconut shake is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Beetroot – ½ portion of medium size
  • Green chili – 5
  • Garlic – 2 Tablespoon
  • Ginger – 1 Tablespoon
  • Dates - 5 Nos. pasted
  • Coriander – 1 Teaspoon
  • Pepper whole – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Gingerly Oil
  • Vinegar
  • Asafoetida a pinch
 

Preparation:-

  • Great beetroot
  • Heat a pan and sauté coriander, whole pepper, cumin seeds, fenugreek and crush it well
  • Heat oil in a pan and add green chilli, ginger, garlic and sauté well
  • Add grated beetroot and continue sautéing
  • Add salt to taste and turmeric and mix it well
  • Add pasted dates and mix it again
  • Add Asafoetida
  • Add filtered crushed spices and mix it well and then switch off the stove
  • Once it become cool pour required vinegar and mix it well
  • Tasty beetroot pickle is ready to serve.

  • River fish – ½ Kg
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Green chilli -2
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Tomato – 1
  • Tamarind - Lemon size 
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 ¾ Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds – 1 ¼ Teaspoon
  • Coconut Oil
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt

Preparation:- 

  • Add Salt, turmeric, chilli powder into river fish and mix
  • Add ginger, green chilli and tomato and mix it again
  • Grind Coconut with ¾ portion of mustard seeds
  • Add tamarind pulp, curry leaves and then switch on the stove
  • Once it start boil add coconut paste and bring into boil
  • Splutter mustard seeds and add it into the curry
