How to prepare Rava Urulakizhangu Poori | Rava Potato Poori| Rava Aloo Poori | Special Breakfast

Poori is one of the famous breakfast across India. This Special Rava Potato Poori is crispy and tastes totally different from the regular Poori prepared using wheat flour. This variety poori is going to be a change from your regular breakfast and everyone likes to eat this special Rava Urulakizhangu poori. Please follow the way how I have prepared this special Rava potato Poori and let me know your feedback.

Rava Urulakizhangu Poori | Rava Potato Poori| Rava Aloo Poori | Special Breakfast


Ingredients:-

  • Rava / Semolina – ¾ Cup
  • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
  • Potatoes Boiled – 2
  • Coriander leaves – ¼ Cup
  • Dried red chilli – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chat Masala – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt as required
  • Oil as required

Preparation:-

  • Grate potato
  • Take a vessel and add rava / Semolina and pour hot water. Keep it aside for 10 min
  • Add grated potato, salt to taste, dried red chilli, cumin seeds, chat masala, coriander leaves and mix it well
  • Add wheat flour little by little and make a thick dough.
  • Apply little oil on top of the dough and keep it aside for 10 min
  • After 10 min mix the dough well. If required add little more wheat flour to make proper poori dough
  • Make small balls and flatten the dough by using rolling pin or a presser
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry both sides at low to medium flame
  • Tasty Rava Potato Poori / Semolina Urulakizhangu Poori is ready to serve

Supporta Pudding | Chiku Pudding| Easy Chikkoo Pudding recipe | Special Pudding


Ingredients:-

  • Suppota / Chikku – 5
  • Milk – ½ Litre
  • Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Condensed Milk – ¼ Cup
  • China Grass – 10 Gram 
  • Chocolate Chips as needed

Preparation:-

  • Cut china grass into small pieces and soak it into 1 Cup water 
  • Clean supporta / Chikku and cut into small pieces
  • Take a mixer jar and grind supporta/chikku along with sugar
  • Heat a pan and pour soaked china grass along with water into it and melt 
  • Boil milk, while boiling pour condensed milk. Add ground supporta/chikku and mix it well
  • Pour melted china grass and mix it well
  • Take a glass bowl and pour the mixture into it. Keep it aside for cooling. Decorate the pudding using choco chips or nuts.
  • Keep the pudding inside the refrigerator for 30 min
  • Tasty Supporta Pudding / Chikku Pudding is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Soya Chunks Crushed – 1 Cup Soaked
  • Onion Chopped– 2 Medium Chopped
  • Fresh green peas – ¼ cup
  • Tomato - 1 Medium Chopped
  • Garlic – 25 Pods Crushed 
  • Ginger – ¼ Inch Sliced
  • Green Chilli – 2 Sliced
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Turmeric Powder– ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam masala – ½ Teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder –1 ½ Tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Soak Crushed soya chunks in hot water for 10 to 15 min
  • Heat oil in a pan, sauté cumin seeds
  • Add onion, green chilli, garlic, tomato, salt to taste and sauté well
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and mix it well
  • Add green peas and mix it well
  • Pour required water and cook well by closing the vessel
  • Add soya chunks keema and cook well by pouring required water
  • Add garam masala, fresh coriander leaves and mix it well and then switch off the stove
  • Tasty Paneer Matar Masala / Paneer green peas Masala curry is ready to serve

Ingredients:- 

  • Black Pomfret - 500 gm
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Tomato – 1 Medium
  • Ginger sliced – 1 Inch
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Garlic Crushed – 15 pods
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Pot Tamarind (Soaked in water) - 2 
  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Shallot – 1 Big
  • Dried red chilli soaked in hot water- 5
  • Whole Coriander soaked in hot water – 1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Salto to taste

Seasoning

  • Mustard seeds as needed
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Shallot – 2 
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • Oil as needed

Preparation:-

  • Take a clay pot and pour 1 cup water and add salt to taste
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, sliced tomato, green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and mix it well
  • Pour pot tamarind extract along with the tamarind and allow it to boil
  • Take a mixer jar and grind grated coconut, soaked dried red chilli and whole coriander
  • Transfer black pomfret into the clay pot and cook for a min by closing the clay pot
  • Pour ground coconut mixture along with required water and cook well by closing the clay pot for 5 min
  • Heat oil in a pan splutter mustard seeds, add fenugreek, shallot and coriander leaves. 
  • Transfer spluttered mustards into the curry
  • Tasty Black Pomfret curry is ready to serve

How to prepare Kadalapodi Laddu | Gram Flour Laddu | Besan Laddu

Ingredients:-

  • Gram Flour / Besan Flour – 1 Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ½ Cup
  • Milk Powder (Optional) – 2 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cashew Nuts as required
  • Ghee – ¼ Cup

Preparation:-

  • Heat a pan and fry cashew nuts
  • Add gram flour / besan and sauté well 
  • Add sugar powder and mix it well
  • Add milk powder and cardamom powder
  • Switch off the stove and mix it well. Keep it aside to cool down the mixture
  • Transfer the laddu mixture into an another bowl and mix it well using your hand to remove the lumps
  • Take a handful of gram flour / Besan flour mixture and make laddu shape
  • Tasty gram flour laddu / besan flour laddu is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Jackfruit – 1 ½ to 2 Cup
  • Jackfruit seeds – 10
  • Turmeric Powder– ½ Tea spoon
  • Chilli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
  • Salt
  • Coconut grated- ½ Cup
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Tea spoon
  • Turmeric Powder – A pinch
  • Seasoning:-
  • Onion – 1
  • Garlic – 2 or 3
  • Mustard – ¼ Tsp
  • Dry chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:-

  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt to taste, Jackfruit, Jackfruit seeds and cook well
  • Grind coconut with cumin seeds and turmeric powder
  • Add ground coconut paste into cooked Jackfruit and boil
  • Heat oil in a pan Splutter mustard seeds. Add onion, garlic into the pan and saute. Add red chilli and curry leaves. Transfer that it into the curry
  • Tasty Chakka Curry / Jackfruit Curry is ready to serve

Preparation:-

  • Grind coconut, green chilli, ginger, tamarind, jaggery, dry red chilli, cumin seeds, curry leaves, salt and water
  • Mix ground paste with curd
  • Heat oil in a pan and  Splutter mustard seeds add red chilli and curry leaves
  • Add it into the butter milk mixture
  • Tasty Moru Kachiyathu / Thenga Moru Curry is ready to serve

Preparation:-

  • Cut cucumber 
  • Take a pan. Add oil .sputter mustards
  • Add cucumber
  • Add salt, Turmeric powder and curry leaves
  • Close the pan and cook it for 1 min
  • Grind coconut, green chilli, shallot and garlic
  • Open the lid and put crushes coconut into it and mix well
  • Again close with a lid and cook for few minutes
  • Tasty and easy Vellarikka thoran / Cocumber Stir Fry is ready to serve

  • Raw Jack fruit – Small
  • Onion – 1
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Dal – ¼ Cup
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Sambar Masala
  • Tamarind- A lemon size 
  • Jaggery – A small piece
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Dry red chili – 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • For frying coconut
  • Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Shallot – 10
  • Garlic – 10
  • Curry Leaves
  • Fenugreek – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Corns- ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 2 ½ Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon

Preparation:-

  • Pressure cook dal, raw jackfruit, onion, tomato, green chilli with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and water
  • Add oil into a pan and add coconut, shallot, curry leaves, pepper and fry
  • Once it start to change the colour add fenugreek and fry
  • Add cumin seeds 
  • Add coriander powder and switch off the stove and add asafoetida
  • Grind the fried coconut
  • Add it into cooked jack fruit
  • Once it start boiling add tamarind water and boil
  • Add sambar powder 
  • Add jaggery
  • Add curry leaves and coriander leaves
  • Splutter mustard and dry red chilli and add it into sambar
  • Tasty Idichakka Sambar is ready to serve
