How to prepare Broken Wheat Upma | Soochi Gothambu Uppumav | Gothambu Upma | Nurukku Gothambu Uppumav
Broken wheat Upma is very very delicious. Nurukku Gothambu is rich in fiber and the upma prepared using broken what is very healthy and tasty. You may eat this delicious Soochi Gothambu Upma along with Banana and Sugar or with Kadala Curry.
Broken Wheat Upma | Soochi Gothambu Uppumav | Nurukku Gothambu Uppumav
Ingredients:-
- Broken Wheat – 1 ½ Cup
- Onion – ½
- Carrot – ½
- Green Chilli – 1
- Ginger – ½ inch
- Curry Leaves as required
- Mustard Seeds – 1 Teaspoon
- Urad Dal – 1 Table spoon
- Ghee – 1 Table spoon
- Salt to taste
- Oil as required
Preparation:-
- Take a pan, add oil and heat
- Splutter mustard seeds
- Add urad dal and sauté
- Add onion, carrot, ginger, green chilli and curry leaves and sauté well
- Add water and Salt to taste into it and boil
- Add broken wheat and mix well
- Close the lid and cook for 4 to 5 min in low flame
- Open the lid and add ghee into it and mix it
- Close with a lid and switch off the flame
- Tasty Broken wheat Upma/ Nurukku Gothambu Uppumav is ready to serve
