How to prepare Qatayef - Arabic Dessert | Eid Special Sweets | Iftar Nombuthura Special Arabic Sweet
Qatayef is an Arabic sweet. Qatayef is one of the must sweet we have to prepare during Iftar/Nombuthura. Arabs like sweet very much and their sweets are very different from other sweets which we normally prepare. Qatayef is very easy to prepare and kids will love this sweet. This special Qatayef can be prepared during Diwali as well. Please follow the way I have prepared this special Arabic Sweet named Qatayef and let me know your feedback.
Ingredients:-
- All-purpose flour – 1 Cup
- Sugar -1 Tablespoon
- Baking Powder – ½ Teaspoon
- Salt a pinch
- Milk – ¾ Cup
- Warm Water as required
- Oil as needed to fry
For
Fillings
- Cashew nuts as needed
- Raisins as needed
- Pistachio as needed
For
Sugar Syrup
- Sugar – ½ Cup
- Water – ¼ Cup
Preparation:-
- Take a bowl and mix all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
- Pour milk and then water little by little and mix it well until it reaches the required consistency
- Close the vessel and keep it aside for 30 to 60 min
- After 30 min open the vessel and mix it well
- Heat a non-Stick Tawa and pour ¼ cup batter and make pan cake
- Take a small bowl and add cashew nuts, raisins, pistachio, sugar, butter and mix it well
- Take a pancake and add small portion of fillings and then close it by pressing it on the corner
- Heat a pan and pour ¼ cup water and then ½ cup sugar and make thick syrup
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry each pan cake
- Dip the fried pan cake into the sugar syrup
- Tasty Qatayef, Arabic Sweet/Dessert is ready to serve
