Kadala Curry without Coconut | Kerala Special Thick Chickpea Curry



Ingredients:-
  • Soaked black chickpeas – 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato – 1
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Green chilli- 1
  • Curry Leaves
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼
  • Chilli Powder – 1 ½ Tsp Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder 2 Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder - ¼ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala - ¼ Teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required



Preparation:-
  • Add salt and Pressure cook the black chickpeas for 3 whistle.
  • Once it is cooked take 4 Tablespoon cooked chickpeas and grind it well using a mixer grinder.
  • Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add onion, green chilli, ginger and salt and sauté well
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and sauté continuously until the raw smell goes away
  • Add tomato, curry leaves and sauté well
  • Add chickpeas into the pan and then add grinded Chickpeas and pour required water into it
  • Once it start boiling add pepper powder, garam masala and curry leaves.
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency
  • Serve it with puttu, appam, chappathi

Ingredients:-
  • Chicken Leg – 4 Pieces
  • Garlic – 15 Pods
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Curry Leaves as required
  • Egg – 1
  • Chilli Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Corn Flour – 1 Tablespoon
  • Curd – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required


Preparation:-
  • Take a mixer Jar and add egg, corn flour, salt to taste, Turmeric Powder, Chilli powder, Kashmiri Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Ginger, Curry Leaves, Garlic, Curd and grind it well to make a thick paste
  • Apply this paste into leg pieces and keep it aside or refrigerator for 30 min
  • Heat oil a pan and deep fry chicken legs
  • Transfer the chicken leg pieces into a serving dish

Ingredients:-
  • Tomato – 4 Medium Sliced
  • Onion – 1 Small Sliced
  • Garlic – 5 Pods
  • Ginger – ¼ Inch
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Coriander Leaves as required
  • Cumin Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee – 1 ½ tablespoon
  • Basmati Rice – 1 ½ Cup
  • Water – 2 ¼ Cup


Preparation:-
  • Heat ghee in a cooker and sauté cumin seeds
  • Add ginger and garlic and continue Sautéing
  • Add Onion and green chilli sauté
  • Add tomato, salt to taste, turmeric powder, and chilli powder and sauté it again
  • Add washed rice and mix it well and then pour water
  • Taste the salt and add if required. Close the lid and cook for one whistle at high flame and then another whistle at medium whistle
  • Open the lid and add coriander leaves and mix it gently
  • Tasty Tomato rice is ready to serve

Ingredients:-
  • Lemon – 1 ½
  • Sugar as needed
  • Cashew nuts – 2 Soaked
  • Grated coconut – 1 ½ Tablespoon
  • Ginger – ½ Inch
  • Condensed Milk – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt a pinch
  • Cardamom – 4 pods
  • Ice Cubes as required



Preparation:-
  • Take a mixer jar and add lemon juice by squeezing lemon, sugar, ginger, cardamom, soaked cashew nuts, grated coconut and grind it well
  • Add condensed milk, ice cubes and 2 cup water and grind it well
  • Filter (optional) lemon juice
  • Tasty lemon juice is ready to serve.

  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Soya Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Vinegar- 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry chicken pieces
  • Add onion, salt to taste, capsicum, ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves into the same pan and sauté well
  • Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, soya sauce, coriander leaves into the pan and sauté well
  • Switch off the stove and add vinegar, curry leaves and coriander leaves and mix it well
  • Tasty Chicken fry is ready to serve
  • Serve it hot

  • Cooked Rice – 6 Cup
  • Palak – 1 Bundle (10 leaves)
  • Onion – ½ portion
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Garlic – 4 pods
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste



Preparation:-
  • Boil palak by adding required water
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, garlic and sauté well
  • Add onion, green chilli, salt to taste and continue sautéing
  • Add grinded palak paste and turmeric powder into the pan and sauté well
  • Transfer cooked rice and mix it well
  • Tasty Palak rice is ready to serve.

  • Red grapes – 500 gram

Preparation:-
  • Add grapes, cardamom and sugar in a pan and boil by adding 1 cup water
  • Switch off the stove and then add lemon juice and mix it well. Keep it aside for cooling.
  • Grind grapes and filter it using a filter
  • Keep the squash in an air tight container
  • To prepare the squash for drinking, add 3 to 4 tablespoon squash and mix it with water.

Ingredients:-
  • Pappad – 6 to 8
  • Shallot as required for masala
  • Dried Red Chilli as required
  • Curry leaves as required
  • Coconut oil as required

 

Preparation:-
  • Take required pappad and dip it in water
  • Crush shallot, curry leaves, salt dried red chilli
  • Transfer the crushed mixture into a vessel and then add coconut oil and mix it well using your hand
  • Take pappad one by one and then keep small portion of the mixture and roll
  • Press both ends of pappad to avoid the masala falling outside
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry each side
