Simple cabbage thoran





Ingredients
Cabbage   - 1 cup(finely chopped)
Onion       -1
Ginger     - 1 tbsp(chopped)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Coconut -  2 tbsp
oil
mustard seeds
curry leaves

Preparation 

  • Mix cabbage,salt ,green chili,ginger and turmeric together.
  • Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
  • Add onion into it and saute for few second.
  • Add the cabbage into it and mix well. 
  • Sprinkle a very little water into it.
  • Cover the pan and cook on low fame for 5 min.
  • Add the grated coconut and Curry leaves into it and mix .
  • Cook it for another 5 minutes.

Kachiya moru (Butter milk curry)



Ingredients
Butter milk - 1/2 ltr
Onion  -  1(medium)
Green chili  -4
Turmeric powder  - 1/4 tsp
fenugreek seeds -a pinch
Cumin seeds  - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds
coconut oil
salt
curry leaves

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds and  fenugreek seeds .
  • Add onion ,green chili and curry leaves and stir well.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt and mix it.
  • Add butter milk into it and stir continuously until steam come.Never let it boil.

Egg Vandaloo


Ingredients:-

 Boiled eggs       -5
Onions              -2
Dry red chilies   -4
Garlic                -5 flakes
Ginger               -1 piece
Cummin seeds   -½ tsp.
Cinnamon          -1 piece
Garam masala   -1 tsp.
Vinegar             -¾ cup
Sugar                -1 tbsp.
Ghee                 -2 tbsp.
Salt


Preparation:-
1. Add ghee in a pan and heat.Add Chopped onions and fry well.

2. Then add the paste made by Grinding the red chilies, garlic, ginger and
cummin seeds with a little vinegar.

3. Add Cinamon and salt and stir well.

4. Then add sugar and garam masala.

5. Cut eggs into halves, lengthwise and add to the curry.

6. Cook till we get a thick gravy.

Onion chutney

Ingredients:
 Grated coconut - 1 cup
10 curry leaves
shallots- 6
few tamarind
salt to taste
dry chilli – 4

Preparation:
 Grind coconut, tamarind, chilli, curryleaves.When done add oninon with salt and grind for few seconds. Noneed to add water.And no need to make fine paste.

Bread upma


Ingredients:

Bread slice    -8(cut into small pieces
Onion           - 1 finley chopped
Tomato         - 1 chopped
Green chilli   - 2 chopped
Dry chilli       - 1 cut into 2-3 pieces
Oil
Mustard
curry leaves


































Preparation :-
In a frying pan put oil, once oil gets heated add mustard, after splattering the mustard add dry chilly and curry
leaves and roast. Add onion and green chilly. Roast well till onions gets golder brown.
Then add tomato and roast till it mix well with onion. Finally add bread pieces and mix well.
Adjust the seasoning and turn off the heat.

**If you are a non vegetarian adding an egg before mixing the bread to the above recipe will give more taste.
