Banana Snacks | Evening Snack | Nendrapazham Snack | Aval NalumaniPalaharam


Ingredients:- 

  • Banana - 1
  • Aval – ½ Cup
  • Grated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Jaggery – ¼ Cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – 2 Table Spoon
  • Salt

Preparation:-

  • Add ghee in a pan and heat
  • Add banana and stir
  • Add aval and grated coconut into it and mix well
  • Add jaggery and cardamom powder and fry the banana
  • Switch off the stove
  • Prepare a batter using wheat flour and salt
  • Make a balls from banana
  • Coat with batter
  • Fry it

During Deepavali time we prepare many sweets at home. Kesari is one of the tasty sweet everyone likes to eat. Here I have prepared Kesari using Chavvari/ Sago / Sabudana. Normally Kesari is prepared using Rava/Semolina but this Kesari tastes totally different from the regular Kesari prepared using Rava/Semolina. This is one of the special Diwali sweet you can try at home and it takes hardly 10 min if you have soaked Sago/Sabudana/Chavvari.


Chavvari Kesari | Sabudana Rice Kesari Recipe | Diwali Sweet Kesari


Ingredients:-

  • Soaked Sago Rice – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – ¾ Cup
  • Cashew as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Saffron – 3 to 4 strings
  • Cardamom – 1 Teaspoon
  • Ghee as needed

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan, fry cashew and raisins and keep it aside
  • Pour more ghee into the pan, add sago rice and sauté well
  • Pour little water and close the pan using a lid and cook sago rice, Make sure to stir in between to avoid it burning
  • Add sugar and mix it well
  • Add saffron mixed with milk to get yellow colour. Use food colour if u would like to have dark colour 
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well
  • Add fried cashew and raisins and mix it well 
  • Tasty sago Kesari / Chavvari Kesari is ready to serve

Here I have prepared this special Halwa using Muthari podi / Ragi Flour. This Ragi Flour Halwa / Burfi tastes totally different from other Halwa verities. Panja pullu Halwa can be prepared in few min and you can proudly present this Halwa to anyone with full confidence. Ragi Flour Halwa | Muthari Podi Halwa | Diwali Sweet Halwa


Ingredients:-

  • Ragi Flour – 1 Cup
  • Jaggery – 1 Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut – ¼ Cup
  • Milk Powder – ¼ Cup
  • Milk – 1 Cup
  • Cashew as needed
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – 4 Tablespoon

Preparation:-

  • Melt Jaggery in ¼ cup water
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add rag flour, desiccated coconut, milk powder and sauté well
  • Add ghee if required
  • Pour melted jaggery and mix it well
  • Pour milk and mix it again
  • Add cardamom powder, cashew and mix it well 
  • Once the mixture become thick switch off the stove
  • Take a vessel and apply ghee on top of it
  • Transfer halwa into another vessel and let the mixture come to room temperature
  • Keep it refrigerated for 30 min to 1 hour once it reached room temperature
  • After 30 to 1 hour take out the Halwa from refrigerator and cut it into desired shape 
  • Tasty Ragi Halwa is ready to serve

Gothambu Podi Laddu | Wheat Flour Laddu | Diwali Sweet Laddu


Ingredients:-

  • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
  • Fried peanut – 1 Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ½ Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut – ½ Cup
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Ghee – ½ Cup

Preparation:-

  • Grind fried peanut using mixer
  • Heat a pan and pour ghee into it. Add wheat flour and stir well
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well for 2 to 3 min
  • Add ground peanut and mix it well 
  • Once the mixture become thick switch off the stove.
  • Transfer it into another vessel and let the mixture come to room temperature.
  • Add desiccated coconut, sugar powder and mix it well
  • Take a handful of wheat flour mixture and make laddu shape. Roll it over a desiccated coconut to get nice look
  • Tasty wheat flour laddu / Gothambu Podi laddu is ready to serve

Payasam is one of the mandatory dish in Sadya. Pradhaman can be prepared in many ways. Here I have prepared this special Sago rice pradhaman using cow milk and jaggery. This Chavvari Pradhaman tastes totally different from the regular pradhaman prepared using coconut milk extract. Since we are using cow milk, preparation time required to make this special Sabudana pradhaman is very less. Try to make this super tasty Chavvari Pradhaman the way I have explained here and let me know your feedback.


Chavvari Pradhaman | Sago Rice Payasam | Sabudana Payasam| Cow Milk Pradhaman


Ingredients:-

  • Chavvari / Sago Rice – 1 Cup
  • Milk – 1 Litre
  • Jaggery – 300 to 350 Gram
  • Condensed milk as needed
  • Cardamom Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Dry ginger powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cashew as needed
  • Raisins as needed
  • Ghee as needed

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan and sauté chavvari / Sago Rice until it become puffy
  • Pour 2 cup warm water initially and then pour required water when it became thick. Total 3 to 4 cup water is required 
  • Melt jaggery by adding very little water
  • Filter jaggery syrup and pour that into cooked sago rice and boil. Make sure to stir continuously
  • Once it reaches the required consistency, pour boiled milk and allow it to boil
  • Add condensed milk as required
  • Add cardamom powder dry ginger powder and then switch off the stove
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashew and raisins. Transfer the cashew and raisins into the payasam
  • Tasty Sago rice / Chavvari payasam with milk and jaggery is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Lotus Seeds/Phool Makhana/Fox Nuts – 1 Cup
  • Jaggery – ¼ Cup
  • Water to melt Jaggery– 1 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom Powder – A Pinch
  • Desiccated Coconut – 1 Tablespoon
  • Sesame Seeds White – 1 Tablespoon
  • Ghee as required

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry makhana at low flame until it become crusty
  • Heat a pan and fry sesame seeds and keep it aside
  • Melt jaggery by adding 1 tablespoon water
  • Add cardamom powder
  • Transfer roasted makhana and mix it well
  • Add roasted sesame seeds
  • Tasty Caramel Makhana or Jaggery coated Lotus Seeds recipe is ready to serve

Supporta Pudding | Chiku Pudding| Easy Chikkoo Pudding recipe | Special Pudding


Ingredients:-

  • Suppota / Chikku – 5
  • Milk – ½ Litre
  • Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Condensed Milk – ¼ Cup
  • China Grass – 10 Gram 
  • Chocolate Chips as needed

Preparation:-

  • Cut china grass into small pieces and soak it into 1 Cup water 
  • Clean supporta / Chikku and cut into small pieces
  • Take a mixer jar and grind supporta/chikku along with sugar
  • Heat a pan and pour soaked china grass along with water into it and melt 
  • Boil milk, while boiling pour condensed milk. Add ground supporta/chikku and mix it well
  • Pour melted china grass and mix it well
  • Take a glass bowl and pour the mixture into it. Keep it aside for cooling. Decorate the pudding using choco chips or nuts.
  • Keep the pudding inside the refrigerator for 30 min
  • Tasty Supporta Pudding / Chikku Pudding is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Gram Flour / Besan Flour – 1 Cup
  • Sugar Powder – ½ Cup
  • Milk Powder (Optional) – 2 Tablespoon
  • Cardamom – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Cashew Nuts as required
  • Ghee – ¼ Cup

Preparation:-

  • Heat a pan and fry cashew nuts
  • Add gram flour / besan and sauté well 
  • Add sugar powder and mix it well
  • Add milk powder and cardamom powder
  • Switch off the stove and mix it well. Keep it aside to cool down the mixture
  • Transfer the laddu mixture into an another bowl and mix it well using your hand to remove the lumps
  • Take a handful of gram flour / Besan flour mixture and make laddu shape
  • Tasty gram flour laddu / besan flour laddu is ready to serve

Kesari is one of the very famous sweet across India. Authentic Kesari is prepared using Rava. Here I am showing you how to prepare Kesari using wheat Flour. You may find similar taste of Kesary prepared Using Rava when it is prepared using wheat flour.  Kerai preparation using gothambu podi is very simple and quick. Try to prepare wheat flour/Gothambu podi Kesari using the method I have shown in this video and share the feedback.

Ingredients:-

  • Wheat flour – 1 Cup
  • Jaggery - ¾ Cup
  • Cashew nuts
  • Raisins
  • Cardamom – 5
  • Ghee – 4 Table Spoon
  • Water – 1 1/2

Preparation:-

  • Add 2 Tablespoon ghee into a pan and fry wheat flour till it become light brown in color
  • Add 1 Tablespoon ghee and fry cashew and raisins and keep it aside
  • Melt jaggery by adding water
  • Add wheat flour into melted jaggery and mix it in low flame until it become thick in consistency
  • Add cardamom powder, cashew and raisins into it. If needed you can add a tablespoon ghee also

Sweet Thukada is prepared using Maida and Rava. It is very easy to prepare and preserve it for couple of days. Sweet Thukada or this evening snack is coated with sugar and because of that kids enjoy eating this. Sweet Thukada is very easy to prepare. It can be used as Naalumani palaharam/evening snack.

Sweet Thukada | Evening Snack | Special Diwali Sweet

Ingredients:-

  • Maida- ½ Cup
  • Rava – 1 Tablespoon
  • Sugar -½ Cup
  • Powdered Sugar (Add 1 cardamom) – 1 Tablespoon
  • Baking Soda – A pinch
  • Salt – A Pinch
  • Ghee – 1 Teaspoon
  • Warm Milk – ¼ Cup
  • Oil

Preparation:-

  • Mix maida, rava, baking soda salt and powdered sugar
  • Add milk and make dough and rest it for half an hour
  • Make balls and roll out into thin chapathi shape
  • Cut it into desired shape
  • Fry both sides
  • Make a sugar syrup and dip the fried items into it
  • Tasty Thukada / Diwali Sweet is ready to serve

  • Once it down cool shape the Peda into round shape
  • Tasty Diwali sweet Milk Peda is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Broken Wheat – ½ Cup
  • Jaggery – 200 to 225 Gram
  • Milk – 500 ML
  • Cardamom - 4
  • Cashew nuts as required
  • Raisins as Required
  • Ghee – 1 to 2 Tablespoon
  • Salt - A Pinch

Preparation:-

  • Cook broken wheat in a pressure cooker
  • Add melted Jaggery and boil 
  • Add milk and boil
  • Add cardamom powder and boil it
  • Fry cashew nuts and raisins
  • Add it into the payasam
  • Tasty Broken Wheat Pradhaman / Nurukku Gothambu Payasam is ready to serve

Eenth Virakiyathu or  Cycads pudding one of the healthy dish you must try at home when you get dried Eenthu or Cycads.

Ingredients:-

  • Eenthu (Cycads) – 1 ½ cup Soaked in water
  • Jaggery – 250-300 gram
  • Coconut milk – 1 ½ Cup
  • Cardamom – 3 
  • Ghee – 1 Tsp
  • Chana dal (Cooked) – ¼ Cup 
  • Salt a pinch

Preparation:-

  • Grind eenthu/ Cycads by adding water
  • Melt jaggery
  • Take a vessel and add ground eenthu, melted jaggery, coconut milk and cardamom
  • Switch on the stove and stir well
  • Add ghee into it and mix it well
  • Add salt as required
  • Once it start boiling add cooked chana and mix well 
  • Stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency 
  • Tasty Eenthu Virakiyathu / Cycads pudding is ready to serve

Ingredients:-

  • Broken Rice / Nurukkuari – 1 Cup
  • Coconut milk Third Extract – 2 to 2 ½ Cup
  • Coconut milk Second Extract – 1 ½ Cup
  • Coconut milk First Extract – ½ Cup
  • Jaggery Syrup – 500 Gram Melted
  • Cardamom crushed– 10 
  • Cut Coconut- 2 ½ Table spoon
  • Cashew nuts and raisins as required
  • Salt a pinch
  • Ghee as required

Preparation:-

  • Heat ghee in a pan or Uruli and fry cut coconut pieces
  • Melt jaggery
  • In the same pan or Uruli and fry broken rice 
  • Pour third extract of coconut milk and cook broken rice
  • Pour melted jaggery syrup and mix it well and stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency
  • Add two tablespoon ghee and mix it well
  • Pour second coconut milk extract and boil
  • Add crushed cardamom and a pinch of salt and mix it well
  • Switch off the stove once it reaches the required consistency and then pour first coconut milk extract and fried coconut pieces 
  • Tasty Nurukkari Pradhaman / Broken Wheat Pradhaman is ready to serve

  • Corn Flour – 4 Tablespoon
  • Ghee- 4 Tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts and raisins as needed
  • Pineapple essence as required

Preparation:-

  • Take a mixer jar and grind pineapple
  • Heat a pan, add pineapple and sugar into the pan and sauté well 
  • Transfer pineapple and sugar mixture into a vessel 
  • Add pineapple pulp and ghee into a pan and stir well 
  • Add sugar and stir well
  • Add corn flour and mix it well
  • Add pineapple sugar mixture and mix it again
  • Add balance ghee and mix again
  • Stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency 
  • Add cashew nuts and raisins a vessel and transfer the halwa into a vessel to cool down.
  • Tasty pineapple halwa is ready to serve

  • Grated Coconut – 1 Cup
  • Milk – 2 Tablespoon
  • Ghee – 2 Tablespoon
  • Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Chocolate as required
  • Cardamom Powder 5 pods
  • Nuts as required

Preparation:- 

  • Grind chocolate
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add coconut and sauté well 
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder, milk and mix it well
  • Add chocolate and nuts and mix it again
  • Transfer the coconut mixture into a plate and keep it aside for cooling
  • Grind the coconut mixture and transfer it back to the plate 
  • Apply ghee on your hand and make laddu shape
  • Roll laddu over fresh coconut 
  • Tasty Chocolate Coconut laddu is ready to serve
